【Donation of Children's Books by Our Subsidiaries in China on World Book Day】

April 23 is "World Book and Copyright Day (World Book Day)." In response to a call to deepen reading activities among the entire population in China, all employees of the three Chinese subsidiaries of the Sumitomo Pharma Group participated in a social contribution activity by donating children’s books.

This activity aims to support children in expanding their horizons and developing reading habits to acquire new knowledge by donating unused picture books and books to rural schools. In total, more than 1,300 books were collected, which were packed by employee volunteers and donated to primary schools in remote mountainous areas of Yunnan Province. We hope that this donation will help children encounter new worlds through reading and nurture their curiosity for the future.

Under the concept of "Sustainability Management," Sumitomo Pharma Group’s local subsidiaries in China strive to promote various initiatives such as supporting the healthy development of children and youth, to realize a sustainable society. Moving forward, we will continue to fulfill our role as corporate citizens through social contribution activities, while also enhancing corporate value.
